Walt Disney World $17 BILLION Expansion Approved – New Parks & More!

On June 5, 2024, the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) board voted unanimously in favor of Walt Disney World’s expansion, which was followed by a second (and final) approval vote on June 12, 2024.

The agreement allows Disney to increase the number of hotel rooms (from 36,000+ to 53,000+), plus add restaurants, shopping outlets, and even add a fifth “major theme park” and up to three additional water parks and/or other “minor theme parks.”

Get ready! Epic Universe is coming!

New Universal Theme Park

Beginning in 2025, there will be a brand-new theme park for visitors to Orlando: Universal Epic Universe.

Today, Universal Destinations & Experiences (UDX) announced the five themed worlds within the theme park, which also includes more than 50 attractions, entertainment options, dining venues and shopping experiences and is set to open in 2025.
